Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GISTs) are the most ordinary mesenchymal neoplasms of the gastrointestinal tract. Most of these GISTs are KIT and PDGFRA wild-type, but as expected, they have somatic mutations or loss of the remaining wild-type NF1 allele, resulting in MAP kinase signaling.
