Dyspepsia manifests through symptoms such as increased burping, excessive fullness or bloating during or after meals, and discomfort or pain in the upper abdomen or chest. Treatment options for dyspepsia typically involve dietary adjustments, H. pylori eradication, acid-reducing medications, and using prokinetic and antiemetic agents in various combinations. If left untreated, dyspepsia can progress to more severe conditions like gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, and gastritis. Long-term complications may include anemia, malnutrition, and a weakened immune system due to inadequate nutrient absorption from food.
